Oct. 5 Email from Chris

Good Evening Cedarhurst Residents!

Thank you for taking the time to open this email. There is a lot of important dates to mention below, but most importantly I wanted to make sure you are getting my emails. So if you found this email in spam, Junk or some other odd folder, please make sure to change your settings to allow our emails into your inbox.

  • Thursday October 7th @ 6pm. Board Meeting. We will be having our 1st board meeting of this new fiscal year. I have changed the location to the Beach so all can attend. If you are interested in attending bring your own chair and remember that if you have any concerns that you would like to bring up to the board you will have an opportunity at the beginning of the meeting. Each member is limited to 3 minutes.
  • Saturday October 9th. Boats Out. All boats need to be removed from the Cedarhurst docks by Saturday evening. Matt and Tim offered to help anyone that needs assistance getting their boat and trailer off the sand. If you need help and have not reached out to Matt or Tim yet please do it asap. If you don’t know who Matt and Tim are, just reply to this emails and we will connect you.
  • Sunday October 10th @ 9am: Docks Out. So far we have a team of only 12 people to help with docks out. Not all of these people will be able to help lift the fingers. We ask that anyone that enjoys using the docks to please come and help. We need men and women with Muscles to help lift the docks out of the water and we need people to wash the docks down and clean them of the weeds and zebra muscles. Without volunteers we will need to consider hiring a company in the future. Hiring a company to do this work will easily increase our membership dues and dock fees. I think many of us whether we have boats or not enjoy the docks. So please consider helping out. A sign up sheet will be posted at the mailboxes in the morning. The social committee will be organizing coffee, lite bites and maybe even lunch. Lastly anyone that does rent a dock slip and can not attend docks out will be subject to a $50.00 fee. We don’t want to collect this money – we just need your help.
  • October 15th – Lake drawdown. Firstlight will begin lowering the lake water levels October 15th and they will not return to normal levels until October 27th. During the drawdown the lake levels will lower to minimum pond levels. If you own a home on the waterfront with a dock or boat you may want to remove them prior to drawdown or at least position your boat in a safe position to avoid damage during the low water levels.
  • Mailboxes: The roof is on the Mailbox pavilion and the shingles should be going up soon. The next step is purchasing the mailboxes. Once the mailboxes are purchased and installed we will pick a date when the old boxes will stop being used and removed. There will be many more follow up emails regarding the mailboxes in the near future so please keep an eye out for them in your inbox. As more info unfolds we will bring it to you.

Sincerely,
Christopher Pace
