Hi neighbors and especially boat and dock owners,
I just got notification from Firstlight that Lake Zoar’s river drawdown will begin on October 15th and return to normal levels on October 27th. During the drawdown the lake levels will lower to minimum pond levels which means we must move up our Docks-out date.
All boats must be removed from the docks on October 9th. Tim and Matt will be available to assist you with removing your boat and trailer if you need. Please reach out to them before the 9th if you need assistance.
The Cedarhurst Docks will be removed early morning on October 10th. We are renting a fork lift to help us with the heavy docks but we are still going to need a team of people to assist with removing the fingers. So if you are available to help this day please reply asap so we can put a proper team together.
If you own a home on the waterfront with a dock and or boat you may want to remove your boat and docks prior to drawdown or at least position your boat in a safe position to avoid damage during the low water levels.
